There was a scene — after landing on an alien planet somebody asked what time it was, everybody looked to a clock on the wall (probably Bullova) which indicated late evening, and they decided sunset must be near and they should hurry if they wanted to go out before dark. If that wasn’t silly enough, one older guy said they needed to check the atmosphere to see if it’s breathable; he then opened a round window, stuck his nose out and snorted a big gulp of alien air. I think he was German, and said something like, “Yah, zee air is good to breath.” I never heard people laugh so hard at a sci-fi movie. And what’s the deal with so many old sci-fi movies with Bullova clocks? My family used to call them “Bullova Movies.”
