Ray was working for ESA at the time i was the Project manager of Europoean Robotic Arm (ERA). He provided the specialist knowledge required by ESA for a number of aspect of ERA and as was my customer interface. I found him to be an expert in his field, a very personable character with very creative ideas. In my opinion, he provided his customer ESA, with good value for money.

I want to stand still at Ray’s program management skills. At a daily basis I now work with Ray on the Galileo program and his management skills are very special. He is able to put a team spirit together whereby he has a special word he uses to make things go forward whereby he encourages people to “facilitate”. I think this is a valuable word which is Ray’s trademark.
Ray is a real pleasure to work with and I see team members do agree. With this concept the team members are encouraged to help each other and make achieve the set difficult milestones. His trademark is “facilitate” which I admit to endorse.
